The Tpp Applauds Central Government’s Swift Action On Re-introducing Late Flights Between Trinidad And Tobago Effective July 1st, 2025
The Tobago People’s Party (TPP) has expressed strong approval for the Central Government’s decision to increase flights on the domestic airbridge, a move which, according to the party, follows a formal request made by them on June 27th, 2025. In a press release issued today, the TPP stated that it is a much-needed relief to Tobagonians, who they say have long endured unreliable inter-island travel. The party noted that the swift action demonstrates the positive results that can be achieved when Tobago’s concerns are addressed with urgency and respect. The TPP contrasted this decisive action with what it described as “neglect” from the PNM, which it claims repeatedly dismissed Tobago’s calls. The party commended the Members of Parliament for Tobago East and Tobago West, David Thomas and Joel Sampson, respectively, for their instrumental role in pressing the case over the weekend. The party also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Minister of Finance Davendranath Tancoo, and Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Eli Zakour for their responsiveness.
