Jolé St. John Celebrated for Regional Tourism Triumph
October 15, 2025- Bishop’s High School continued its winning streak in the annual Tourism Youth Congress Challenge as the school claimed the trophy for the second consecutive year.
During Monday’s ceremony, Councillor Tashia Burris officially presented the Junior Secretary of Tourism, Jolé St. John, with her trophy, recognizing her impressive victory at the Regional Tourism Youth Congress.
In a heartfelt moment, St. John expressed her gratitude to those who supported her journey. She presented tokens of appreciation to her chaperone, Rhonda Hackett; the coordinating teacher of the Bishop’s High School Tourism Youth Club, Anya Alleyne; and Acting Principal, Debbie Charles-Jordan. A special acknowledgment was also given to Councillor Burris for her guidance and encouragement throughout the competition.
The Division of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation praised both St. John and Bishop’s High School for their dedication to promoting tourism awareness among Tobago’s youth. Officials noted that their achievements underscore Tobago’s growing influence in regional tourism leadership.
