Officers from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) Tobago Division carried out the targeted search operation after receiving actionable intelligence regarding illegal firearms and illicit drug trade activities in the southwestern district. Operation Details and Crackdown

Heightened District Surveillance: Police officials noted that this seizure forms part of sustained crime-suppression exercises across the Crown Point and Canaan corridors to take illegal weapons off the streets and dismantle localized drug networks ahead of the busy holiday period.

Targeted Search & Discovery: During the search of the suspect’s premises, law enforcement officers discovered and confiscated an illegal firearm along with several rounds of live ammunition and packaged narcotics intended for local distribution.

Custody and Formal Charges: The 41-year-old suspect was immediately detained and taken to the Crown Point Police Station, where he is being interrogated by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) ahead of formal charges.
