Scarborough, Tobago – February 2nd, 2024 – The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is set to implement a new customer service policy aimed at restoring public trust and confidence in the force. This significant development was revealed by Commissioner of Police, Erla Harewood-Christopher, during yesterday’s Joint Select Committee (JSC) session, where the critical issue of customer service in the TTPS was extensively discussed.
During her address to the committee, the top CoP detailed strategies to improve police-community interactions and service delivery. The new policy is a direct response to ongoing concerns regarding public perception and aims to enhance the overall experience citizens have when engaging with the police service. Commissioner Harewood-Christopher’s emphasis on this policy underscores the TTPS’s commitment to addressing public feedback and building stronger relationships with communities.
