Scarborough, Tobago – The Tobago Recycling Resource Initiative (TRRI) is facing eviction from its operating location after the Tobago Agribusiness Development Company (TADCO) claimed the organization owes over $3.4 million in arrears.
The recycling depot, which has been operating out of the TADCO compound in Shaw Park, began experiencing financial problems in May 2023 when the Environmental Management Authority (EMA) allegedly failed to follow through on an agreement to provide funding. Since then, the TRRI has been forced to scale back its operations and is now being asked to pay the outstanding arrears to TADCO or face eviction.
