Scarborough, Tobago – The failed autonomy bills highlight why voting for traditional political parties is not in the best interest of Tobagonians, according to Nickocy Phillips, Political Leader of the Unity of the People.
Phillips believes that neither the PNM nor the UNC has shown genuine care for giving Tobago what it truly deserves. Now that the bills have failed, he warned that both parties will likely use the issue as an election tactic to sway voters in the upcoming general elections. His comments challenge Tobagonians to reconsider their political loyalties and demand more from national parties.
