A six-person technical oversight group has been constituted by THE THA to create the foundation for the Tobago Development Bank.
Anslem Richards, the principal technical adviser for THA, stated on Wednesday that once the bank is founded, it will foster an atmosphere where investors and developers in Tobago can easily access finance.
He stated that the group, led by technical adviser Carlos Hazel of the Division of Finance, Trade, and the Economy, has been meeting for the last seven months in order to come up with plans for how Tobagonians who want to start their own companies might get working capital.
