The Ministry of Health informs the public about influenza season
Influenza season is upon us, and it begins in October and ends in May/June of the following year. At a press conference hosted today by the Ministry of Health, Minister Terrance Deyalsingh shared that influenza vaccines arrived earlier than normal, having arrived last week. He stated that vaccination drives will begin a month earlier, though the influenza season starts in October. Manager of the Expanded Programme on Immunization Nurse Grace Sookchand also shared some information about influenza, such as its symptoms and treatments.
