Tobago division of TTCIC iterated their commitment to assisting schools based on their abilities
The increasing school violence rates are driving a call for corporate support in education. Curtis Williams, Chairman of the Tobago Division at the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce, emphasizes the private sector’s vital role in solving this issue. The Chamber has already assisted Signal Hill Secondary School, addressing recent violent incidents involving its students. They are in contact with Secretary of Education, Research, and Technology, Zorisha Hackett, for a forthcoming meeting. While limited, the Chamber is committed to supporting initiatives to combat school violence effectively. Williams advocates for a collaborative, multi-stakeholder approach to tackle this societal challenge.
