Opposition leader raised concerns over the Tobago airport terminal project.
Scarborough, Tobago – The United National Congress (UNC) held its political meeting last night, where party leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar expressed concerns about the budget for the ongoing construction of the Tobago Airport Terminal.
According to documents presented by Persad-Bissessar, one of her concerns was the employment of individuals without prior experience in airport construction. She also referenced a report from the company Gleeds, which highlighted several cost overruns, causing the original budget for the airport project to rise from $1.2 billion to $1.7 billion.
