Minority Leader disappointed with S.D.G. motion presented in plenary sitting.

Scarborough, Tobago – Minority Leader Kelvon Morris today heavily critiqued the motion put forward by Assemblyman Nathisha Charles-Pantin, Secretary for the Division of Food Security, Natural Resources, the Environment and Sustainable Development. The motion concerned developing eleven of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the island, and the debate occurred during today’s plenary session.

Morris’s critique highlights a differing perspective within the Tobago House of Assembly regarding the approach or feasibility of implementing specific UN SDGs for Tobago’s development pathway. His comments underscore the ongoing discussions about the best strategies for achieving sustainable growth and environmental stewardship on the island.
