Heritage Petroleum Company Limited Assists in Oil Spill Response

The requisite equipment and teams were mobilised for departure to Tobago beginning this afternoon (Friday 9th February 2024). Heritage will continue to support response activities for the duration of the exercise.

Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – February 9th, 2024Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) has swiftly responded to the ongoing oil spill in Tobago, providing critical resources at the direction of the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries (MEEI).

To bolster the clean-up efforts, Heritage has activated its specialized teams, including the Incident Management Team (IMT), Business Support Team (BST), and Wildlife Rescue Team (WRT). These teams comprise subject matter experts from Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), logistics, and field operations, bringing decades of experience in safely and efficiently managing hydrocarbon spills.

The necessary equipment and personnel were mobilized for departure to Tobago, beginning this afternoon (Friday, February 9th, 2024). Heritage confirmed its commitment to continuously support response activities for the duration of the extensive clean-up exercise.
