Ministry Launches Investigation into Smoke Bomb Incident at SAPA

September 9, 2025- The Ministry of Culture and Community Development has launched a full investigation following an incident involving a smoke bomb at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) during the Miss La Reine Rive finals on Saturday, September 6th, 2025.

According to an official statement, the device was set off on stage by a contestant. Minister Michelle Benjamin confirmed that Red Cross personnel and Ministry staff responded swiftly to ensure the safety of attendees.

The Ministry, in collaboration with SAPA, has initiated a joint investigation, with further details to be released as they become available.
