Councillor Tashia Burris, Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities, and Transportation, is set to attend the 2024 Global Tourism Resilience Day Conference in Jamaica. The conference, scheduled from February 16th to 17th, 2024, will bring together esteemed tourism leaders, including the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Secretary Burris will actively participate in the Ministerial Roundtable, a prestigious platform for regional and global collaboration. The conference will take place at the Montego Bay Convention Centre, and the Caribbean Tourism Organization has extended the Secretary’s invitation. This upcoming global event aims to drive discussions and advancements in sustainable tourism in the Caribbean and the Americas, contributing to a thriving industry.
