Scarborough, Tobago – February 15, 2024 – Councillor Tashia Burris, Tobago’s Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities, and Transportation, was set to attend the 2024 Global Tourism Resilience Day Conference in Jamaica. The conference, scheduled for February 16th to 17th, 2024, brought together esteemed tourism leaders, including the Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization.
Secretary Burris was scheduled to actively participate in the Ministerial Roundtable, a prestigious platform for regional and global collaboration on tourism resilience. The conference took place at the Montego Bay Convention Centre, with the Caribbean Tourism Organization extending the Secretary’s invitation. This global event aimed to drive discussions and advancements in sustainable tourism in the Caribbean and the Americas, contributing to a thriving industry.
