Former principal says there are systemic issues in education when moving to higher grade levels.

Scarborough, Tobago – The new school term officially began today, with students entering their new classes and schools. However, former principal of Naparima College, Dr. Michael R. Dowlath, stated that there appears to be a systemic problem with students advancing to a higher grade level without mastering fundamental skills.

Dr. Dowlath was speaking at an Opposition Press Briefing on Sunday, where he discussed the challenges plaguing the education system. His comments underscore a critical issue affecting student readiness and long-term academic success.
