Relief for Parents as School Book Grant Payments Begin Nationwide

August 25, 2025 – The Ministry of Education has begun distributing payments under its School Supplies and Book Grant, offering much-needed relief to parents and guardians ahead of the new school year.

As part of a phased rollout, the Ministry confirmed that 5,248 payments have already been processed and issued to families across Trinidad and Tobago. An additional 14,752 payments are expected to be completed by September 5th, 2025.

Officials noted that the staggered approach is designed to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability while managing the high volume of applications received this year.

The School Supplies and Book Grant continues to be a crucial support measure for families struggling with back-to-school expenses, helping students access the tools they need for academic success.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring equitable access to learning resources for all eligible students, stating that no child should be left behind due to financial constraints.
