Assemblyman Megan Morrison Hosts Back-to-School Book Drive for Mt. St. George/Goodwood Students
August 25, 2025 With the new school year fast approaching, Assemblyman Megan Morrison is once again making sure that students in her district are well-prepared. On Sunday, the Mt. St. George/Goodwood Area Representative hosted her annual Back-to-School Book Drive, providing essential school supplies to families across the community.
Now a staple event on the district’s calendar, the initiative saw dozens of children receiving textbooks, stationery, and other academic materials to help ease the financial burden on parents and ensure students are ready to return to the classroom.
Morrison emphasized the importance of equal access to educational tools, saying, “When children have what they need, they show up more confident, and their performance improves. That’s the kind of future we want to build in this district.”
She also extended heartfelt thanks to the sponsors, volunteers, and residents who supported the event, noting that it’s the collective effort of the community that makes the initiative a success.
“An investment in our young people is an investment in the future of Mt. St. George and Goodwood,” she added.
