Chief Secretary Farley Augustine announces public safety department almost ready for roll-out .
Chief Secretary Farley Augustine stated that his administration is doing all in its power to get the rising crime situation under control. Noting that under the THA Act 40 of 1996, the island government is unable to do anything about matters of national security, they are still able to engage in several community-based measures. Additionally, they are nearing the ability to roll out the Public Safety Department under the Office of the Chief Secretary.
