Scarborough, Tobago – June 28, 2024 – Minority Councilor Petal Daniel-Benoit was not pleased with the tourism data presented by Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities, and Transportation Tashia Burris. Daniel-Benoit publicly accused Burris of “doctoring the data” to mislead the public into believing that Tobago has experienced genuine tourism growth. Daniel-Benoit made these strong remarks during her contribution to the debate on the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Budget.
