Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley says the burden of property tax is being exaggerated
Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley has firmly declared that the government will proceed with collecting property tax, asserting its commitment “come hell or high water.” He stated that regardless of the Opposition’s attempts to delay the process through legal action, his government will forge ahead with the establishment and operation of the revenue authority.
Dr. Rowley made these assertive comments last night during a “Conversations with the Prime Minister” event, underscoring the administration’s determination to implement this key fiscal measure. His remarks reinforce the government’s long-standing position on the necessity of property tax for national revenue.
