The Tobago festivals commission appoints Kern Cowan as new CEO.
The Tobago Festivals Commission Limited has appointed Kern Cowan as their new CEO. Cowan was previously the Executive Coordinator of the Shaw Park Complex and began his role as CEO at the Tobago Festivals Commission on September 1st, 2024. According to the Tobago Festivals Commission, Cowan has 15 years of experience in event promotion and management. Cowan expressed excitement for this journey and shared that he looks forward to leading the company into a new era of partnership, creativity and success. He emphasized the importance of stakeholder relationships, stating that it is important not just to the company but to the success of the island’s events and cultural tourism. Cowan said that emphasis would be placed on communicating the importance of the orange economy and creative sector in Tobago. Cowan takes over from Janelle Drysdale-Job, who was the Acting CEO.
