Scarborough, Tobago – The Tobago Festivals Commission Limited has appointed Kern Cowan as its new CEO. Cowan, who was previously the Executive Coordinator of the Shaw Park Complex, began his role at the Tobago Festivals Commission on September 1st, 2024.
According to the Tobago Festivals Commission, Cowan brings with him 15 years of experience in event promotion and management. Cowan shared his excitement for this new journey, expressing that he looks forward to leading the company into a new era of partnership, creativity, and success. He emphasized the importance of stakeholder relationships, stating that they are crucial not just to the company but to the success of the island’s events and cultural tourism. Cowan also said that a key focus would be placed on communicating the importance of the orange economy and the creative sector in Tobago. He takes over from Janelle Drysdale-Job, who was the Acting CEO.
