Aqua Warriors triumphant at swim meet

9 members of Tobago YMCA Aqua Warriors participated in Annual Bluefins Swim Meet on 24th March, 2024. They won the overall Trophy and twelve medals.
The Tobago YMCA Aqua Warriors with a 9-member contingent ventured to Trinidad to compete at the recently concluded 3rd Annual Bluefins Swim Meet. This swim meet, which hosted 24 swim clubs from around the nation, was held at the Centre of Excellence Aquatic Facility on Sunday 24th March, 2024. The team returned with one 2nd Place overall Trophy and thirteen medals.
The contingent from Tobago comprised of Amaya Henry, Jade Edwards, Kaliegh Abraham, Seanheim Alleyne, Izrael Charles, Zhade Leonce & Shellon Cunningham under the tutelage of Head Coach Mosi Denoon and assistant coach Rochelle Pierre.
Amaya Henry, placed 2nd Overall in the 13-14 Women Pre-Competitive Category and returned with two individual medals. Henry swam to Golden glory in the 25-meter Breaststroke event and a Bronze in the 25-meter Butterfly event.
Jade Edwards, who also competed in the 13-14 Women Pre-Competitive Category, claimed three individual medals at the swim meet. Edwards swam to a Silver in the 25-meter Butterfly event, Bronze in the 25-meter Backstroke and Bronze in 25-meter Freestyle event as well.
The relay team comprising of Amaya Henry, Jade Edwards, Seanheim Alleyne and Zhade Leonce swam to Gold in the 100-meter medley relay stopping the clock in a time of 1:10.69 ahead of RWB Aquatic Academy (1:13.90) and Flying Fish Swim Club (1:20.13).
The relay team, once again swam to podium glory, claiming a silver medal in the 100-meter Freestyle Relay clocking a time of 1:02.99 behind winners RWB Aquatic Academy (59.51).
