Adjustments coming to demerit points system

Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan stressed the importance of the Demerit Point System (DPS) in transforming driving culture and enhancing road safety during the 10th Anniversary Road Safety Awards ceremony on Wednesday. Despite public concerns, Sinanan clarified that the DPS is designed to foster positive driving behaviours rather than generate government revenue or punish citizens.
