August 21, 2024 – The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) has appointed a new board. Minister of Public Utilities Marvin Gonzales welcomed the board and thanked the new and returning members. Ms. Frances Lum Young and Ms. Ayasha Nickie are the new members of the board, taking up the role of commissioners. Six members of the board were reappointed, such as Mr. Romney Thomas as Chairman, Mr. Anthony Peyton assumed the role of Deputy Chairman, Mr. Andrew Alves, Ms. Janet Richards, and Mr. Raphael Ajodhia, all returning as commissioners. The appointment of this new board is a key step in guiding T&TEC’s strategic direction and ensuring the continued delivery of electricity services across Trinidad and Tobago.
