Rejoining fragmented operations to dramatically reduce emergency response times is the core objective for island law enforcement, as the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) officially launched the Tobago arm of the Active Directed Grid Patrol Initiative.
The high-tech policing framework—unveiled at the Tobago Information Technology Centre (211 Building) in Signal Hill—integrates ground patrol units with a real-time data-sharing network. The system grants officers on the sister isle instant access to national intelligence and surveillance tools without requiring manual administrative clearance from operational hubs in Port of Spain.
