Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – The Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (TTPOST) has formally invited the Trinidad and Tobago Postal Workers’ Union (TTPWU) to commence wage negotiations. The invitation follows weeks of workers’ protests and is a significant step towards resolving a long-standing labor dispute.
In a recent statement, TTPOST confirmed that talks are scheduled to begin on December 2nd, 2024, pending the union’s confirmation. The discussions will focus on collective bargaining periods spanning from 2011 to 2019. The company has assured that the discussions would be collaborative and transparent, aiming for a fair resolution that benefits all parties while minimizing service disruptions.
