It has been almost a month since Hurricane Beryl passed through the Caribbean, causing significant damage to St Vincent, the Grenadines, and Carriacou Grenada. Crews from the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) departed for Grenada last night to assist in restoring Carriacou’s electricity.
Three T&TEC Line Crews were sent to Carriacou to assist the Grenada Electricity Service Limited (GRENLEC) in restoring their electricity grid. Minister of Public Utilities Marvin Gonzales shared his appreciation for the crew’s service and willingness to represent the nation while assisting its CARICOM neighbour. He met them at the diplomatic lounge at the Piarco Airport. Trucks were also loaded onto a shipping vessel last week to reach Carriacou Grenada.
