Parlatuvier, Tobago – June 18, 2024 – Some notable communities were left out of this year’s staging of the Tobago Heritage Festival 2024 calendar, such as the Pembroke Salaka Fest and the Les Coteaux Folktales and Superstitions. During the launch of a large-scale broadband service in Parlatuvier, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine shared his opinion on the situation.

The Chief Secretary stated that the Tobago Heritage Festival has always had changes since its inception in 1987, noting that villages have consistently taken turns participating throughout the years. His comments suggest that the current adjustments are part of a historical rotation and evolution of the festival, which aims to spread participation and showcase diverse cultural expressions across the island.
