Former THA Secretary Cites Canaan/bon Accord Representation Crisis After West MP’s Ascension
October 7, 2025- Former THA Area Representative Clarence Jacob is warning of a growing political vacuum in the Bon Accord/Crown Point communities.
Jacob says residents feel “hurt and betrayed” after their former representative in the Assembly, Joel Sampson, vacated the seat to become the new Member of Parliament for Tobago West. He argues the move has left the district without direct representation at the THA level, creating what he describes as a representation crisis just months ahead of key budgetary and development decisions.
