Scarborough, Tobago – The Innovative Democratic Alliance (IDA) has publicly chastised Chief Secretary Farley Augustine for recent remarks made during a Tobago People’s Party (TPP) meeting on Sunday.
The IDA noted that some of Chief Secretary Augustine’s statements were specifically directed towards IDA political leader Dr. Denise Tsoiafatt-Angus. Adding to the condemnation, former Assemblyman Max James has also publicly criticized the Chief Secretary for these remarks.
This incident highlights ongoing political tensions and public scrutiny of leadership conduct in Tobago. The criticism from both the IDA and a former Assemblyman underscores concerns about political discourse and respect in the island’s governance.
