The Admission of Migrant Venezuelan Children into Tobago Schools

The Division of Education, Research and Technology announced that the registration process for migrant children would begin today. The division advised parents to go to the School Supervision Unit of the Division of Education at the Dutch Fort Plaza to complete the registration process. The documents required to complete the process are the Minister’s Permit under the Migrant Registration Framework and Migrant Registration Card, a Certified Translation of the Birth Certificate of the Child, Immunisation Record of the Child, Proof of Address and a passport-sized photo of the child.

The process also includes applying for the Student Permit Exemption from the Ministry of National Security. Parents were also advised that the application does not guarantee placement and depends on the availability of space at schools. Registration takes place every Tuesday and Thursday.
