Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – March 20th, 2024 – In preparation for the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) Exam, which was administered on Thursday, March 21st, 2024, significant adjustments were made to school schedules across the nation.
A media release from the Ministry of Education today (referring to March 20th, 2024) stated that all primary school students were to be dismissed at 11:30 AM. Furthermore, all invigilators were required to be at their assigned schools on Tuesday, March 19th, at 12:30 PM to assist with organizing examination rooms and to review the invigilation process alongside the Assessment Supervisor.
The memo also confirmed that all primary schools and private candidate centres would be closed on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, as part of a crucial quality assurance process. This closure also allowed for comprehensive safety and quality checks at all venues. Additionally, security personnel conducted visual inspections of school premises on Wednesday, with Principals, Vice Principals, and Senior Teachers required to be present to facilitate access. The Ministry emphasized that only authorized personnel would be allowed onto school premises during the examination period, ensuring the integrity and security of the SEA 2024 administration.
