Roller skating, anyone? Yes, Tobago now boasts its own skating rink. Last Saturday, the arena was officially opened to members of the public at the popular Big Dawgs Sports Bar in Crown Point, Tobago. On hand at the ceremonial opening was Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities, and Transportation, Tashia Burris, who welcomed the attraction.
Patron Dinesha Alexander, who only started skating a year ago, hopes that this is the introduction of a skating culture in Tobago, which can lead to other opportunities for young people. Dylon Le Blanc, the owner of The Skate Guys Business, is collaborating with Big Dawgs Sports Bar and Lounge on this initiative.
