Roller Skating Rink Officially Opens in Crown Point
In exciting news for recreation on the island, Tobago officially unveiled its first roller skating rink last Saturday, November 4, 2023. The new arena is located at the popular Big Dawgs Sports Bar in Crown Point, offering a fresh entertainment option for residents and visitors alike.
The ceremonial opening was attended by Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities, and Transportation, Tashia Burris, who warmly welcomed the new attraction. The initiative is a collaboration between The Skate Guys Business, owned by Dylon Le Blanc, and Big Dawgs Sports Bar and Lounge.
Patron Dinesha Alexander, who had only started skating a year prior to the opening, expressed her high hopes for the new facility. She envisioned it as the beginning of a vibrant skating culture in Tobago, potentially leading to diverse opportunities for the island’s young people. This development marked a new chapter for leisure activities in Crown Point, Tobago.
