Health Secretary Dr Faith B. Yisrael says new ambulances are on their way to Tobago
Scarborough, Tobago – At a recent Tobago House of Assembly (THA) media briefing, Secretary of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, Dr. Faith B. Yisrael, admitted that Tobago’s ambulance service is not where it should be.
The Secretary explained that she inherited an aging fleet of ambulances when she came into office in 2021. This long-standing issue has presented a challenge for the Division in its efforts to ensure a prompt and efficient emergency medical response across the island. The THA and the Tobago Regional Health Authority have since been actively working to acquire and commission new ambulances to replace the older vehicles and upgrade the service.
