Charlotteville, Tobago – July 07, 2025 – The body of a man, identified as Michael Yeates, was discovered floating off Bottom Bay in Charlotteville at approximately 6:05 AM today. Authorities were immediately alerted to the grim discovery.
The Coast Guard was contacted to assist in bringing the body ashore. However, reports indicate that the Coast Guard currently lacks the specialized equipment required for such a retrieval operation. Efforts are now focused on securing alternative assistance to bring Mr. Yeates’ body to shore from Bottom Bay, Charlotteville.
The District Medical Officer (DMO) and undertakers have been notified, and the Criminal Records Office has also been contacted regarding the incident. Further updates are expected as the situation develops and retrieval efforts progress for Michael Yeates in Tobago.
