Black Rock, Tobago – The Katzenjammers Pan Theatre officially opened a new Technology in Education (TIE) Centre yesterday, a significant development made possible through a partnership between the Digicel Foundation and Pan Trinbago. This initiative aims to integrate digital learning into the steelpan community.
The opening ceremony at the Katzenjammers Pan Theatre in Black Rock was attended by prominent figures including Beverly Ramsey-Moore, President of Pan Trinbago; Area Representative Niall George; and Georgina Peterkin, Director of the Digicel Foundation.
The TIE Centre provides Katzenjammers with essential technological resources, expanding community access to the digital world. This program reflects a shared vision to blend the rich tradition of steelpan with modern technology, supporting the educational and developmental needs of young pannists and the wider community in Tobago.
