Scarborough, Tobago – August 30, 2024 – Assistant Superintendent of Police Dirk John shared the traffic restrictions for tomorrow’s 62nd Independence Parade in Scarborough. A security flow of armed and unarmed contingents will be present along the parade route.
ASP John spoke about vehicular traffic based on Legal Notice Number 152, signed off by Commissioner of Police Erla Harewood-Christopher. The notice specifies a series of prohibitions and diversions for both parking and vehicular traffic around the Bacolet Parade Grounds and the streets of Scarborough. It is advised that motorists pay close attention to the designated alternative routes to avoid delays and ensure public safety during the Independence Day celebrations in Tobago.
