Barbra Wills, one of the residents, shared her story of frustration, vividly recounting the distressing scenes of the street transforming into a waterlogged island every time a heavy downpour strikes.
Lucil Percy, another resident, highlighted that Chief Secretary Farley Augustine mentioned the involvement of civil engineers in assessing the Bon Accord area, with a particular emphasis on addressing flooding along the main road. He noted that her father was willing to provide valuable insights for managing drainage issues in the area.
Assemblyman Joel Sampson shared his plans with the residents to explore innovative solutions for implementing essential drainage systems in the area. He also mentioned that the project would commence as funds become available. Additionally, Dr. Allison Williams provided crucial insights into addressing the community’s persistent flooding issue.
He hoped that the THA would consider these issues when addressing future drainage concerns.
