Charlotteville Jetty Upgrades Underway to Boost Cruise Tourism in Tobago

Charlotteville, Tobago – June 17, 2024 – Upgrades to the landing of the Charlotteville Jetty are well underway, marking a significant infrastructure development for the area. The project involves widening the jetty from 5 feet to 7 feet and lengthening it from 20 feet to 37 feet, significantly enhancing its capacity and safety.

Works began on June 4th, 2024, and are expected to be completed by early July, weather permitting. This initiative is being undertaken by the Speyside District, Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and Urban Development. The upgrade aims to provide more efficient and safer berthing for cruise liners, directly supporting the cruise tourism industry in Charlotteville, Tobago.
