Scarborough, Tobago – Tobago has experienced an upsurge in criminal activity within the past five months, with an increase in gun presence on the island correlating with a rise in armed criminal incidents.
On Monday, a Green Matrix car was stolen at the Black Rock Housing Scheme. The owner, a 37-year-old woman, was assaulted at gunpoint by two masked men. Her hands and feet were tied during the terrifying ordeal, highlighting the escalating nature of armed robberies on the island. Police are currently investigating the incident.
