Scarborough, Tobago – Despite considerable dissatisfaction expressed regarding the late planning for the Tobago leg of the national Carnival (referring to the February 2024 event), the island’s business community remains unworried and is strategically focusing its efforts on the upcoming Tobago October Carnival.

Curtis Williams, Chairman of the Tobago Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce, conveyed to reporter Kandace Jackson that the business community views the Tobago October Carnival’s potential for profitability as exceptionally high. This perspective underscores a strategic shift, with local businesses prioritizing the October event as a significant economic driver for the island.
