U.T.T. lecturer Dr. Arthur Potts says building resilience in the blue economy is possible through spatial planning and management of marine resources.

Scarborough, Tobago – With coral bleaching affecting 80-90% of Tobago’s coral reefs, building resilience in the blue economy is crucial. Dr. Arthur Potts, a UTT Lecturer, highlighted several policy measures to protect marine resources during his speech on Day 2 of the Agri-Tech Innovation Summit at the Shaw Park Cultural Complex.

His recommendations underscored the need for strategic action and new approaches to marine management. The summit provided a vital platform for experts to discuss how Tobago can better safeguard its marine ecosystems and the economic activities that depend on them.
