Len Carrington President of the Parlatuvier, Bloody Bay Village Council claimed that the villagers were not informed of the construction occurring on the Bloody Bay Festival grounds, he added that they were informed at a Town Hall meeting on Thursday 24th August 2023, that the project would not be finished by October 16th, which is the date of the Blue Food Festival.
The Tobago Blue Food Festival, centred around ground provisions, has left community members uncertain about its occurrence due to the lack of guidance on finding an alternative venue, Carrington explained. While workmen were assessing the site, Carrington noted that the contract had been awarded for the project, scheduled to commence in the upcoming month. When contacted, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine committed to give a response on the matter very soon.
