During what was supposed to be a normal weekend lime at a bar, quickly turned into a scene where people were scampering for their lives, according to Sergeant Joseph Jordan. Wills sustained a chest injury, and the unnamed 18-year-old female also suffered a gunshot wound. Both were swiftly transported to Scarborough General Hospital, yet Wills tragically succumbed to her injuries. The other female remains hospitalised, her condition is classified as critical but stable.
A member of the public is currently cooperating with the police in their investigations. However, Sergeant Jordan has appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and provide a report to the police to aid in identifying the perpetrator.
The murder has prompted public inquiries regarding why a 17-year-old girl was present at a bar during the early morning hours and why a patron was allowed entry with a firearm.
Meanwhile, the owner of the establishment issued a press release “The management intends to urgently and speedily increase security measures at the establishment which will discourage this type of occurrence, as well as provide a measure of safety and comfort to our patrons.”
