Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – The Ministry of National Security, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is strengthening its collaborative efforts to effectively combat human trafficking in Trinidad and Tobago.
The UNDP recently provided Minister of National Security Fitzgerald Hinds with four strategic trafficking reports. These reports are designed to enhance the fight against human trafficking through CariSecure 2.0, a multi-country initiative. Funded by USAID, CariSecure 2.0 equips national institutions and agencies with essential technology, equipment, and training. This support aims to improve crime data collection and analysis, fostering evidence-informed approaches to significantly reduce human trafficking across the region.
