Orville London to receive honorary doctorate

Former Chief Secretary Orville London is set to receive honorary doctorate from U.T.T.

Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – Former Tobago House of Assembly Chief Secretary Orville London is set to receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) during its 2024 Graduation Ceremony. London will be honored for his significant contributions to politics and education.

Other distinguished honorees include Sieunarine Persad Coosal, Leon Edwards, Marilyn Gordon, and Bertrand Kelman, who are being recognized for their work in philanthropy, steelpan music, education, and sports. The ceremony, themed “Global Visionaries Embracing a World of Possibilities,” will celebrate more than 1,200 graduates. The graduation ceremony is scheduled for October 28th to 29th at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA), with UTT President Christine Kangaloo presiding.
