However, the seas are expected to calm down in time for New Year’s weekend, so maybe shift those Christmas beach plans to New Year’s instead. Looking ahead to 2024, De Coteau explained that the Met Office is predicting another record-breaking hot year. It also means that periods of rainfall are going to be more intense.
