Energy Minister Stuart Young signed the final documents in Caracas, Venezuela, paving the way for natural gas from Venezuela’s Dragon maritime field to flow directly to Trinidad and Tobago.
Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley celebrated this pivotal achievement, emphasizing that the deal opens the door to a new commercial frontier for the country. The Dragon gas deal, a crucial $1 billion agreement initially signed in 2018, had faced prior hurdles due to US sanctions on Venezuela.
